BIOGRAPHY: Jennifer Buchberger, NSW, Sydney
Jennifer Buchberger is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. During her 5 years as a Mediator, Jennifer has mediated with families experiencing high levels of conflict in both Parenting and Property/Financial disputes. Her mediation work also extends into other disputes involving siblings, care of elderly parents, grandparents, embryos and pet mediations; solo and co-mediations, therapeutic hybrid mediations, shuttle, legally assisted and court ordered mediation.
Her clients are from a diverse range of occupations including nurses, tradespersons, teachers, lawyers, builders, CEOs, accountants, factory workers, IT professionals, bus drivers, and doctors.
Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Technology, Sydney, with a Bachelor of Arts (Tourism Management) and a Master of Arts (Communication Management); and she also holds a Vocational Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution.
She has undertaken further skill development in the following areas: Risk of Significant Harm Training, Safe Talk: Suicide Alertness, Managing Difficult Behaviours, Boundaries and Limits, Accidental Counsellor, Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, AVERT Family Violence Training, LGBTI Inclusivity Training.
Before embarking on a career in dispute resolution, Jennifer’s first career was in the operations of conference organising, travel and tourism businesses. Jennifer managed the requirements of high-end clients in challenging circumstances, whilst maintaining a calm, professional and assertive demeanour. It was during her tourism career that Jennifer developed her interest in negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Jennifer brings warmth, empathy, authenticity, compassion, focus and strong boundaries to her mediation work, providing clients with a structured yet flexible approach to resolve their issues in dispute.
In her leisure time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking and travelling, and she is fluent in German.
